Gunther Fischer Band's amazing Nightkill OST, 1984

Gunther Fischer has been posted here before of course as a result of his backing of Uschi Bruning, and the remarkable fusion album Kombination there as a quintet.  There are other albums hidden in his discography as bandleader or just as solo artist, for example the often requested album with Solo Sunny which is listed here as ST, from 1979, but I think it's a soundtrack.  In the late year of 1984 he made this other OST which is really remarkable with its mix of funk and fusion, the information is here this time under the GF Band.

For Example track 5, Phoenix:

  3. What a find Captain! Some dusky soundtrack gems lie hidden for many obscure 1980s films...the 2nd track 'Bockshorn' had me listening close and wanting more.....like reminiscing in an outdoor dream cafe, city lights reflected in rain-streets...
both 'Des Henkers Bruder' tracks are great, esp Take A...
like a Blade Runner western with a circus on the horizon....
Take B sees ommadawn on an astral voyage with full prog-close to the edge-chorus :)
the last four songs are excellent too,
memory tumbleweeds that tumbled far far out on imaginary prairies
....now there's steam from the teakettle
as we tell stories around future campfires

big Thank You & Happy Holidays to you and yours bro :)
