Romantic Warrior's Planet by request

 





After the first ST album named of course after Return to Forever's opus, and posted here, they seem to have lost their way in my opinion with digital keys and drums, electronic, ethnic and new age importations in the second and third albums. Others will surely disagree though.  I guess it's important for everyone to feel they've completed the discography, which can be found here.

    Everything about this gem reminds me of good times,
    happy young years with arcades, when the first video game systems appeared with actually good games as the computer-synthesizer Revenge Of The Nerds vibe was fully embraced...
    By track 7 - Planet - we are in full electro-prog stride and
    the next few like Footprints, Liquid Sky, Modern Talking (It's Just A Telephone Call) and Cosmo Jazz shimmer like heat-mirages with the pleasure of strolling in the garden at twilight with a full pipe.....I see smoke-rings floating ;)
    There are wide currents full of meaning flowing fast around us
    A universe full of intentions
    Everything happens for a purpose.
    Thank You so much Julian, I needed this right now,
    a perfect surfboard to catch a wave ~
    A good record creates new ideas ready to explore,
    A new reality next door - Let's go!!!

    The main dude here is Peter Kuhlmann who in later years and quite successfully in an indie sort of way as Pete Namlook started the FAX Germany label which was you guessed it NOT jazz but 100% electronica/ambient/techno. The cult following after his untimely demise is strong. Pete was an avid jazz aficionado(he even went as far as sample Lyle Mays in one of his Air discs) having a penchant for the guitar which was featured later on many of his alias names and solo projects. He was rather diverse in his personal influences. Nice to see this up on the site for people to hear but he had quite an extensive back catalog in the 90s until his death.
