Jim Marks' Touching Your Feelings 1974 [review only]

You just might casually notice the album is selling for 3000 dollars currently...

I recommend you first have a listen, which you can do today.

Anyone know what's up with this item?
Basically, the guy is talking over relatively generic music but his spoken words are quite the distraction.

What a shock coming off the wonderful sound of Jo Grinage too.

On some tracks they didn't even bother writing music, there's just a bit of percussion here and there.  Title track:

  7. Thx for saving the day Adix. Now let's see if it's REALLY worth the ticket price. Prolly not, I'd never pay it anyway, just curious, and not available for exploitative price gouging. No one deserves that, do they?

  8. Now there should be a note on the Lp jacket that says,
"This cannot be listened to before midnight and there must be thick clouds of reefer smoke by candlelight....a large persian carpet is preferable."
What a unique & Heady slab of righteous vinyl!
...like a psychedelic trip, set & setting are crucial for enjoyment...
and it may have been just the strange midnight but I was transported in time and space, so far out & groovy
"When I was just a kid, I married my soul, and my body became my best man".....ha! this hip cat is laying down some wisdom :)
...that third track, 'Gifted - For Cecilia', in the instrumental passages remind me of some of the rare magic from the 'At The Wedding' song from 'The Open Window' Lp.....
    ...and more assorted gems,
"When be-bop memories and sad-ass poets become yesterday's world,
we may read new poems, poems of wisdom."
"Its time to become what you are becoming..."
"We are placed in bags sometimes with other nuts who roll us around
until together we crack or change up."
Side 2 continues the smoky late night vibrations...
    from 'Touchin Your Feelings'
"I am trying to be the articulator in your dreams...
...from here it feels like a melted togetherness...
I am trying to touch Time..."
..wait is some audio rendition of Finnegan's Wake masquerading as a spoken-word proto-jazz piece???
    ................. :) ...................
    from 'Jazz Is Ourselves'...
"Its what the artist is playing or not playing, its what the listener is hearing or not hearing - Bitches Brew in a Silent Way"
great line there, made me bust out 'In A Silent Way', one of the top human creations....ever.
'Baaad News For Mr Blues' is perfect for some of the brain poLICE running amok out there today :)
"Goodbye Mr Blues, with your stretched stocking and generated news,
you have been a disease leaving my mind confused...
Its fare well announcing your name, I don't seem to need you anymore, things have changed, they're not the same as before...
Go away Mr Blues - I had a mental revolution!
...you lay bad dreams on me at night and
try to put my head in the sand...."
and from the great 'Rhythm Is Accenting Time"
"Time may be the future of the world...
old heads, old minds, old bodies - same clothes...
No humanity is this 'new' time - the wrong goose is tryin to get loose!
...Rhythm is accenting time because time is changing...
Where will you be? Do you know?"

Thank You so much bro for bringing this strange yet wonderful creation to our attention :) ...and a big Thank You to Adix for the share!!!
Very much appreciated my friends.....sometimes something different just to tweak the parameters is well worth is effort ...not a $3000 Lp by any stretch of the imagination, but we know the hype-hustlers have lost it long ago...I can see their inflated balderdash now "psych jazz monster hip-hop breaks galore otherworld spoken word a true precursor to rap!" haha
Thanks again bro and HUGE THANK YOU for that excellent share of 'Darts'...had only a washy crapola rip of that real killer...sounds so good now!!!! And the Tully gift-bag :) I have and love 'Sea Of Joy' but was unaware of the rest, so I got some good listening ahead :) :) :)
    Cheers!
